01 / THE PROBLEM
A lot of data, not enough clarity.
Property managers juggle reservations, guests, properties and daily operations. The existing dashboard presented a high volume of information without clear hierarchy, making it difficult to quickly understand performance or focus on what mattered most.
Information overload
Key metrics and operational data were crowded together, making it hard to scan.
Difficult to spot trends
Important insights were buried in dense tables and inconsistent visualisations.
Time-consuming
Users had to click around to find the information they needed for daily decision making.
Mixed user needs
The dashboard needed to support both high-level performance insights and day-to-day tasks.
02 / DESIGN PROCESS
A clearer, more intuitive and useful dashboard.
To better understand how users were interacting with the existing dashboard, I used Logrocket to analyse real user session recordings and heatmaps. This helped me observe how users navigated the interface, which areas received the most engagement, and where they experienced friction or hesitation. These insights informed my design decisions, helping me prioritise improvements to the information hierarchy, data visualisations, and overall usability based on actual user behaviour rather than assumptions.
01 Clearer information hierarchy
03 Support daily operations
I restructured the dashboard to surface the most important metrics at the top, using clean cards, consistent typography and visual cues to make key information easy to scan.
I redesigned charts and graphs to present occupancy, booking trends and booking sources in a clearer and more visual way, helping users quickly recognise patterns and compare performance.
I combined high-level insights with practical day-to-day information, such as upcoming arrivals and departures, to create a dashboard that supports both strategic and operational needs.
03 / DESIGN DETAILS
Clear, visual representations of key metrics help property managers quickly understand performance, identify trends and take action.

04 / THE OUTCOME
The redesigned dashboard brings together key metrics, visualisations and operational information in a cohesive and easy to use experience. It helps property managers understand performance at a glance and spend less time searching for information, so they can focus on what matters - delivering great stays.
